SATSYNC 6 Software Index for Models 30694, 30697 and 30698
See Technical Publications Section 5 para 2 sub vi for an explanation of the conventions used to identify software model and version. To copy the software on to your computer ~ right click on the 'Link' and use "Save as..."
If you are reading this on a CDROM supplied with equipment the version of software may not be the latest.
BE AWARE that Satsync 6 can be used with 2 different models of GPS Rx ~ 40642 and 40742. The FIRMWARE and ET SOFTWARE are different for use with the 2 GPS Rx models ~ make sure you are using the correct software.
For use with GPS Rx 40642.
This Rx has a half-round dome (rather than a mushroom dome) and is on general issue up to April 2005; (there are a number of mushroom domed Rx (40641) which are different again). The alternative (40742, see below) has a green band round the post.

Engineering Terminal software (zipped) - do not use this on previous Satsync Frequency Generator hardware versions. The previous (PC0667013) version of the ET software added 2 new features associated with monitoring frequency - this version makes interpretation of these data easier. You can view the result of the last 10 frequency measurements and you can write a continuous stream of measurement results to a file on your ET - the file name is Satsync.csv and will be placed in the directory where you keep the ET exe. These new features only work on Satsync6 units fitted with firmware F0667011or later. See Satsync Engineering Bulletin 2 |

Satsync6 Firmware(zipped) - with an amendment to the frequency control algorithm relating to action on re-establishment of GPS Fix following loss of GPS Fix. See also Satsync6 Engineering Bulletin 3. It is not essential to up-issue from F0667012. You will need to reprogramme the EPROM in the Satsync6 unit to embody this amendment. |
For use with GPS Rx 40742.
This Rx has a half-round dome (the same case as 40642) but has green tape around the top of the post (as well as having a different part # label). First issued for service in December 2004 and will gradually replace the 40642.
