RSSI ENCODER:-
Two types of RSSI Encoder units are available. One generates an RSSI Tone and the other generates an RSSI Voltage.
The Dalman products Cosmos and Solar use either and the Voter uses the RSSI Tone encoded set.

This device is used to generate a tone in the 'Assort' band related to the AGC control level of the host Base Receiver, the higher the AGC level the higher the tone frequency. The units are sourced from a third party - the Dalman price list includes a handling charge. The units may be purchased direct from the OEM - AW Communication Systems Ltd.; however, it is likely that this unit is not referenced on their web-site, you may need to 'phone them. Whilst the product literature says that the unit was designed to work with a Simoco PRF10 base Rx it has been successfully integrated with a number of other Rx models. |
