Distribution and Support of 1PPS.
This section relates to the distribution and back-up of the 1PPS and status data streams - decoding of GPS RF is discussed in the 'Deriving 1PPS' section, use the 'back' key on the browser and follow the appropriate link. If the 1PPS in a system is derived from a source other than a Dalman GPS Rx or Universal Reference Generator then please consult the factory for installation information.
| UniversalReferenceGeneratorIndex. | A Synchronized Timing and Reference Frequency source for use in multi-site systems where globally phase coherent (GPC) 1PPS Timing and a fixed Reference Frequency are required; including features to enhance system resilience and transportability for emergency calibration.Initially calibrated to GPS or a 'master' unit the 30745 will maintain a GPC 1PPS synchronizing signal in the event of total failure of the GPS receiving equipment or service (in transportation) sufficiently 'in-phase' with other 30745s to adequately synchronize a Dalman based simulcast system infrastructure for several weeks. |
| Fan-out UnitHandbook. | The 30643 is an active GPS Fan-out Unit ~ see also item below (Loading rules) if the fan-out requirement is small and can be covered using passive fan-out looms to wire loads in parallel. This link leads to the Handbook - what would have been paper in a ring binder before the advent of 'the web'. |
